Windows 7 – get it now

I have just ordered the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack from Amazon.  The cost was $149.95 and free shipping is available.  This is a limited time offer so get it now.  As I have done so, I will be spending the next few days making sure I have proper backups of my PC’s, download the necessary drivers and up to date programs for Windows 7 so when I do the installs I will be ready to go.  Once I have completed this task, I will do some testing, verifying, etc. and post some family heritage pages of Phil and Lydia’s ancestors.

Windows 7 Enterprise Tests Underway

I just installed the 90 day trial version of Windows 7 Enterprise x64.  Both x86 and x64 versions are available on Technet now. This is the full RTM version, with a 90 day limit.  It installed flawlessly in about 20 minutes, on the third partition of my second hard drive, leaving the installed OS, Vista Home Premium x86, as is and as should be, adding in a boot selection for the new OS.

Windows 7 RC

I have installed and have been running  the Windows 7 Release Candidate for a few days now.  I also had the Beta version for a few months.  This release candidate is very stable and works well with all my hardware on first boot (as did the Beta).  I have decided that I will use it as my main OS.
